ELPO advises hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, physician provider groups and other health care providers concerning all aspects of federal and state regulations that affect them, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement issues. We also represent managed care organizations and provider networks in all areas of applicable law, including antitrust issues. In addition, we represent nursing homes, providing advice on both regulatory and liability issues.
When health care providers face professional liability claims and need a strong team in their corner, we represent both insured and self-funded interests. Our attorneys defend medical malpractice cases against physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, dentists, optometrists and other providers. We handle administrative, trial court and appellate matters.
We have substantial experience in advising clients on statutes and regulations relating to not-for-profit entities, self-referral and anti-kickback legislation, antitrust issues in the health care field, Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, ERISA-based health care benefit plans and similar matters.
