ELPO elves wrapping gifts for Relay for Life
by Mandy Hicks
Each year, volunteers from ELPO do a number of service projects to raise funds for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
During the holiday season, volunteers wrap gifts in exchange for donations. ELPO will start accepting packages on Monday, December 1. All packages must be to us no later than Friday, December 12. Gifts can be dropped off Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and ask to see one of the Relay members. The volunteers will call when packages are ready to be picked up and all packages will need to be picked up by Friday, December 19.
Our volunteers have a variety of gift wrap to choose from and white, red or gold satin ribbon. All gifts must be in a box and a Wrapping for a Cure form must accompany each gift. The Wrapping for a Cure form has a place for “special instructions” where supporters can put what wrap, color of ribbon, specific gift tag or no gift tag. This will be returned with the wrapped gift.
ELPO participates annually in Relay for Life, which officially kicks off in November and culminates with the Relay, which will be held June 5, 2o15 in Warren County.
