Buzz English appointed to Kentucky Chamber Executive Committee

Attorney Buzz English is now serving on the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Board of Director’s Executive Committee as an at-large member. He will serve a one-year term.
Buzz has served on the board of the Kentucky Chamber since 2011. Serving as chair is Wil James, Jr., president of Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky, Inc. James succeeds 2014 Chairwoman Elizabeth McCoy, president and CEO of Planters Bank in Hopkinsville, Ky. Kevin Canafax, vice president of midwest public affairs for Fidelity Investments in Covington, Ky., has been named chair-elect for 2015.

Buzz English’s extensive legal career has centered around business litigation. He has successfully defended large corporations from class-action lawsuits brought by shareholders or by consumers. He has extensive experience in federal court and has successfully argued before the Kentucky Supreme Court in precedent-setting cases. Buzz is a former President of the Kentucky Bar Association and currently serves on the Kentucky Judicial Nominating Commission. He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a member of the Kentucky Public Advocacy Commission, appointed by Gov. Steve Beshear. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary that reviews the qualifications for all Article III Judges nominated by the President and a Delegate to the House of Delegates for the American Bar Association.
