Lindsay Tate Porter is from Frankfort, Kentucky and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University (WKU) in December 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agribusiness. While attending WKU, Lindsay served as Chapter President of her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, and was selected Outstanding Agribusiness Student of the Year in 2016.
Upon graduation from WKU, Lindsay attended the Louis D. Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville and graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2020. While attending the Brandeis School of Law, Lindsay clerked for an insurance defense firm in Middletown, Kentucky, participated in the American Inn of Court as a Pupil member, served as the Moot Court Board Executive Vice-President, and as a University of Louisville Law Review Associate Symposium Editor.
Also during her time at the Brandeis School of Law, Lindsay participated in the Intrastate Mock Trial competition against students from the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law and the Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law winning Best Advocate of the competition in both 2018 and 2019. Lindsay obtained her limited student practice license, pursuant to Supreme Court Order 2.540, and participated in the Louisville Metro Public Defender Externship, specifically with the juvenile public defenders, and received the “Top Student” award for her work and performance in the Criminal Defense Trial Practice Court and Public Defender Externship.
Lindsay was also awarded the Robert C. Jayes Memorial Award for demonstrating academic merit, communication skills, and leadership qualities while attending the Brandeis School of Law. Lindsay’s Law Review Note: Judicious Use of Antibiotics: Biting the Hands that Feed Us, was selected for publication in the 58th Volume of the University of Louisville Law Review.
Lindsay resides in Bowling Green with her son, Thaddeus Porter. Lindsay serves on the Board of Directors for United Way of Southern Kentucky and is committed to our region’s success.
