Attorney Leah Morrison speaks at WKU Accounting event

Attorney Leah Morrison gave a presentation on Friday, May 4, on the basics of probate and estate planning for the Western Kentucky University CPE Program for Accountants at the Knicely Conference Center at WKU.
The program provided 8 hours of CPE for accountants licensed in Kentucky and Tennessee. Her presentation was designed to help accountants understand the basics of estate planning and probate – particularly the different documents involved, their specific scope and functions, and how each part may affect their accounting procedures and planning for their clients’ families and businesses.
About Leah Morrison
Leah Morrison is an attorney with ELPO. Her area of focus is tax law, estate planning and probate. Leah’s works with families, especially business owners, planning for the future. Her knowledge of both tax and estate law allows her to present her clients with options for estate plans that take taxes into account when appropriate.
Leah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, earning her Juris Doctorate. She also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law, earning an LL.M. degree. She is a member of the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association and American Bar Association.
