Bob Young to speak at University of Kentucky Law conference

Attorney Bob Young will speak this week at the Consumer Bankruptcy Law Conference at the University of Kentucky. The biennial conference provides both debtor and creditor attorneys, as well as trustees, with a crucial update on consumer bankruptcy law. The conference offers Kentucky attorneys 11.25 hours of continuing legal education (CLE) credit.

Bob’s presentation, Technology Issues for Bankruptcy Attorneys, is set for Thursday afternoon. Katy Goshtasbi, an attorney and personal branding expert, will join Bob for the presentation. Katy is the author of “Personal Branding in One Hour for Lawyers” (ABA Publications). As a branding expert, she is a trainer and consultant who speaks globally on the topic of personal branding. She is the CEO of Puris Personal Branding.

The presentation will cover many aspects of technology and will discuss how lawyers are using technology to become more efficient and productive and serve clients better.

About Bob Young

Bob Young is a partner at English Lucas Priest and Owsley LLP. He served as Chair of the Law Practice Division of the American Bar Association. Bob previously served as Vice-Chair of Law Practice Division and Chair of the Law Practice Management Strategy and Planning Committee. He also was Chair of the Diversity Committee of the Law Practice Division for three years, from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to the ABA, Bob is a member of the Bowling Green-Warren County Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Kentucky Justice Association, Kentucky Bar Association and American Bar Association. Bob received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green in 1986 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1990. Besides the Kentucky and Tennessee Bar, his bar admissions include the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky.

Bob’s law practice focuses on medical malpractice, pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.
