Overview

Josie Keusch’s passion for the law began during high school while working at a family law firm in her hometown of Cadiz, Kentucky. This early exposure to the legal field solidified her dedication to advocacy, which she carried with her to Western Kentucky University, where she majored in Criminology and minored in Legal Studies. Her criminology studies gave her unique insight into the challenges faced by criminal defendants, fueling her desire to become a zealous advocate in the field of criminal defense.

Josie graduated magna cum laude from Western Kentucky University in 2021 and pursued her legal education at the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law, where she continued to excel. Graduating summa cum laude in May 2024, Josie finished sixth in her class and was honored with the prestigious William Marshall Bullitt Memorial Award for earning the highest grade in Constitutional Law II.

In addition to her academic achievements, Josie gained hands-on experience in both prosecution and defense. She interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky and the Kentucky Department of Public Advocacy, and also externed for Jefferson Circuit Court Judge Julie Kaelin. These roles deepened her understanding of the legal process from multiple perspectives, further sharpening her skills and reinforcing her commitment to the legal field.

Now as she embarks on her own legal career, Josie brings with her a passion for many practice areas including personal injury, product liability, and employment law, pairing that with her commitment to excellence, and the drive to succeed as an attorney.

Josie and her husband, Nicholas, who both fell in love with the Bowling Green community during their time at WKU, have happily returned to the area. They now reside in Scottsville, Kentucky. Outside of work, Josie enjoys spending quality time with her family and cheering on both the WKU Hilltoppers and UK Wildcats.
